Our staff will help you define your fitness goals, take into account your current fitness level and discuss what you want to achieve through your workouts. Here are other additional benefits:

If you have a deadline or goal in mind ot meet how many sessions should you purchase? These are all questions to have in mind when purchasing training sessions. The Worthington Area YMCA hires only licensed and/or certified personal trainers from teh following agencies/governign bodies: the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercsie (ACE), and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Our rigorous standards guarantee all clients will receive proper guidance from qualified, trained, experienced staff. You can train confidently knowing that our staff are experts in the Health and Fitness Industry.
We offer 2 basic packages for Personal Training in either half hour (30 min) or 1 hour (60 min) sessions. Personal training is available to Members and Non-members (non-members have restricted access to facility to scheduled times only).

All members have a free Fitness Center orientation and personalized workout card when they sign up. Our staff will take you through an orientation for our exercise equipment including selectorizer machines, cable machines and free weights and help you build an exercise regimen to get you started on the right path. Contact the Front Desk or the Health and Fitness Director to schedule a time.
All clients are required to give 24-hour notice if they cannot make it to a training appointment. If the notice is less than 24-hours, it will considered a training appointment and the vclient will be charged for that time. Clients who arrive late to their training session will not receive additional time beyond their scheduled time. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, your session may be cancelled and you will be charged for the session. All personal trainers may make exceptions to this cancellation policy as they see fit. All personal trainers may give their clients their personal phone number if they would like to.
